OTHER GAMES
CAMPAIGN ART • NOT GAMEPLAY3 GAMES / SAT 19 SEP / 3 PM ET
We’re choosing 3 games to play together this Saturday.
New to MML? Start small. We’ll help shortlisted creators test in-world.
You don’t need a creator role. We have one—and handle placement for invited tests.
WATCH FIRST / THEN TRY IT
Starter file → agent → MML Editor → test → submit.
Quick cut of real screen captures. Claude writes a tiny example; we paste and play it in MML Editor. The final submission is a local demonstration, not a live competition entry. This review site does not collect submissions yet.
SKIP THE WALL OF TEXT
One file. One prompt. Make your first playable idea.
Attach the file in your AI coding tool. Copy this prompt into the same conversation.
Answer up to 3 quick questions—or say “pick for me”. Build one fun interaction first.
Prefer to build by hand? ↗Read the attached OTHER-GAMES-START.md and help me make an MML creation for Other Games. Ask me up to 3 short questions in one message, with a “pick for me” option. Then build the smallest working version, show me how to preview it, and iterate. Use the brief and official docs, be honest about what you tested, and do not publish or submit anything without me asking.
Use a tool that accepts files or paste the Markdown as text. Tools and coding ability vary. Source checking is not an Otherside rehearsal.
FIRST TIME? YOU’RE GOOD.
MML describes interactive 3D objects using text. Open MML Editor, sign in, and choose Create project. In your new project, paste the complete source into the CODE pane. Use PLAY to click and test it. On a wide screen, EDIT and PLAY appear side by side.
You can start with an idea. Download the Markdown starter below, attach it to your coding agent, and use the prompt. Ask for one small playable rule first. If something breaks, send your agent the error and a screenshot, then test the fix.
Play one complete round, trigger the win, and reset. For shared games, open a second Play client on the same running document and check that both see changes. Editor testing comes first; invited creators then test placement and gameplay with our team in Otherside.
No creator or director role is required to submit. We have creator access and handle placement for invited tests. Normal Otherside attendee access still applies. Tell us what you need help testing.
Your source file, editor link, dimensions, how to play/reset, credits, and known issues. A short demo link helps. We invite favourites to test and select only 3 games for Saturday’s audience. Final choices belong to the Other Games team. Check the timeline for the submission cutoff; entries are not open on this review site.
YOU BRING THE GAME. WE BRING THE ACCESS.

We have the creator role to place your MML in Otherside. If your game is shortlisted, we’ll invite you to test it with us and help work through placement and fixes.
No creator or director role needed to enter. You can start in the browser editor. Normal player access still applies if you join us in-world.
Our team chooses the final 3 winning builds after testing. Fun gameplay comes first. Looks, audience experience and readiness count too.
Submitting does not guarantee an invite or selection. All decisions are made by the Other Games team.

Final team picks.
Everyone comes to play.
Submit by Friday noon ET. Shortlisted creators receive a test invitation; test times are arranged directly. Final selection is at the team’s discretion.
YOUR TURN
Three short steps: your idea, your build, and credits. Tell us what works and where you need help.
Only 3 final selections.
Our team reviews the games, invites favourites to test, then makes the final picks.
Have your MML source and editor link ready. No creator role required.

Start with a playable idea. When it works, scenery, lighting and a clear visual identity can make it memorable.

These show our recent decorated builds, not required templates or entrant submissions. The Bulldog reference is here for aesthetics only. Source assets remain credited to their creators; no private model pack is included in the starter download.

Actual isolated MML browser demo: registration, rolling and shared progress. Camera shortcuts and local host steps are rehearsal tools. Otherside traversal and crowd performance remain unverified.
ONE GOOD RULE. MAKE IT YOURS.
Build a complete round around one memorable mechanic. These are directions to remix, not finished game templates. Keep the basic starter files below for learning MML.
Pass a cursed object before the fuse runs out. Track the holder, countdown, elimination and last player standing.
Timers + eligibilityRoll together, climb, fall and race to the finish. Give every player a position and a clear standings board.
Turns + progressCollect points, bank them safely, or risk your haul for more. Make the decision visible to spectators.

Three small, editable examples. Start with one, change it, then go somewhere other.

Click a signal to change its colour for everyone connected. Learn a small, shared interaction.

Switch on three lights together, then reset. Learn completion state without a large game engine.

BEFORE YOU TESTWorld compatibility ↗Web and Unreal support can differ.
Keep the required editor/service running for live interactive tests. Do not overwrite a project already hosting a game.
ADVANCED REFERENCE
Saints & Serpents explores simultaneous rolls, player registration and visible progress. The recent registration lab explores prompts and per-player counters. Our guide explains what transfers, what still needs testing, and why these full builds are not beginner templates.

SUGGESTED STARTING ENVELOPE
Start compact; you do not need to fill the plot. Height guidance remains 20 m; taller ideas need placement review. Centre your build at the origin, with the walking surface at ground level.
Proposed event guidance, not an Otherside platform limit. Bigger idea? Submit its dimensions for placement review.
Players should see where to enter, what to do and how to leave. Keep signs readable and decoration out of the main route.
Inspect stairs, openings, clicks and collision at player height. Visual surfaces and collision need separate checks.
If it has a game state, explain how to start and reset it. Cap light intensity and emission at 1.
Credit collaborators, source assets and AI assistance. Tell us what was remixed and what you changed.
Your editor demo helps us understand the idea. Shortlisted builds still need an organizer-led Otherside rehearsal for placement, avatar interaction and shared behavior. Final selection depends on that rehearsal.
